General advice

Don't exclude bread. One-two slices of whole wheat (or rye)
bread is absolutely needed. Remember what happened to my gums? Don't repeat
my mistake. |

Make yourself pretty! Look in the mirror, put some make-up (don't
exaggerate, of course), look at your body... well, don't get me wrong.
Just take care of yourself!
Now that you've got rid of food obsession, you must "cultivate" other
pleasures... A good perfume, a nice scarf, a fashion lipstick, or dress
! Jesus! I thought I'll go crazy when I could buy my first two piece
suit (and not "order" for one, special "size"). I felt... NORMAL
again! It was so good!

When I reached 85 kg (187 lb.) I found the Sauber panties – they are
very tight. I mean VERY. They help eliminate the cellulite. I felt great.
It was like a continuous massage.
Speaking about massage, massage is good,
if you have time and money. You should have one at least once a week.
Massage doesn't really make you lose weight... but improves blood circulation,
elimination of toxins, and skin gets softer. And you feel great... |

Don't get desperate if after certain periods of time you don't loose
weight, even if you know you were absolutely... correct in your diet. It's
normal! Our body reacts slowly to changes. Give it time to keep
up the pace with you... to adapt to new changes
From march 1997 till september ‘97 I've lost 22 kg (48.4 lb.) – from
105 kg (231 lb.) to 83 kg (182.6 lb.)
Starting with september ‘97 I didn't kept any strict diet.
Until december ‘97 I maintained my weight – but many persons were telling
me:
Gee, you are still loosing weight !
What happened? My body was slowly regaining its normal shape. The body
is not a balloon - you blow it and then you let the air out ... Slowly,
the skin "stretched", my body "stretched" – visually you have the impression
of losing weight, but in fact you're getting a new shape. Better one, of
course! |

I reached (several times) the psychological threshold
– as I call it. A diet plateau or sticking point.
For instance, when I reached 90 kg (198 lb.) I couldn't get under
that figure for several days. This was torturing me.
I wanted to see on my scale another figure starting with "8".
I got sick of "9"... This outrageous wish to change "figures" pushed
me further (plus the thought of the red dress)
I "survived" and passed so far three such psychological thresholds:
100
kg, 90 kg,
80 kg.
The best solutions to avoid desperation... in such cases: don't
step on your scale for about four days. (well, this is the only
exemption I admit...)
If you kept the diet (correctly), after the fourth day you'll have
a pleasant surprise: another figure on the scale! |

I noticed that during a very strict short-term diet (2 weeks),
I can't loose more than 4 kg (8 lb.) in one week, and max. 1-2 kg (2-4
lb.) the following week. Anyhow, it's hard (for me, at least) to loose
more than 4-5 kg (8-10 lb.) / month in a long term diet (several months).
My body simply can't keep up the pace (with my wishes...) It's not
even recommended to loose more than 4-5 kg / month in a long term diet! |

If you like sauna, and if you're healthy, do it! I hate it, my body
hates it, we (both...) definitely don't like it. |

I reached 77 kg and now I eat (almost) everything, without exaggerating.
I ate some candies... but I took care to walk a little bit more than usual. |

 |
By the way, I didn't exercise during my diet. No time... I was busy
reading all those books about dieting... But if you can exercise, it's
very good but... don't exaggerate – you are not planning to attend the
Olympic Games, are you? As long as you feel great - it's perfect. Walking
is healthy. Buy a dog – I have one, and he's my third big love... (well,
first my husband, then my daughter, and now... Fox - that's his
name). He'll keep you busy. BUSY. You'll forget about food.

Again, if you have time - some exercise would be good. Check this: Health
